The Gittings Fort Worth studio strives to participate in events that not only benefit the community, but also the children of the Fort Worth area. Over the past month, the Gittings Fort Worth studio was involved in two events where young students were able to get behind the camera. The Gittings brand has over 90 years of professional photography experience, so it is important to us to show children the magic and wonder of photography.
Over the past month, Gittings was very busy and had the privilege of participating in two notable Fort Worth events that revolved around students: the Westlake Academy Gala 2018 and Southwest Christian School Boots & Bling, as well as the the JDRF Fort Worth Promise Ball 2018
Westlake Academy Gala 2018
Gittings had the students from Westlake Academy visit the Fort Worth studio to partake in mini photography lessons with the Gittings staff. The students were able to photograph each other and the photographs were later turned into a photo collage of a horse. The photo collage was then sold at auction at the Westlake Academy Gala on April 27th.
Southwest Christian School Boots & Bling
Gittings helped with the Southwest Christian School Boots & Bling fundraising event by setting up a mini-studio where first graders photographed each other. Afterwards, the Gittings team made a short photography presentation and talked to them about the history of cameras and film. The photographs were then composed into a mosaic of a longhorn and auctioned off at the event.
Gittings also donated a gift certificate to the silent auction.
JDRF Fort Worth Promise Ball 2018
On April 7th, Gittings attended the JDRF Fort Worth Promise Ball. JDRF is the leading global organization funding Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research. The proceeds of the Ball benefitted the amazing research of JDRF.
Gittings was asked to create portraits of the Honorary Chairs, Pat and Harold Muckleroy, along with the Gala Committee.
