Where are you based?
Grand Rapids, MI

How many years have you been a photographer? (Not necessarily employed with Gittings)
Professionally as my only job for 40 years.

What is the most interesting photoshoot/subject you’ve ever photographed?
President Trump.

What do you like most about being a photographer?
I have never woke up in the morning and thought “crap I have to go to work,” I always look forward to it.

Do you ever shoot with a film camera?
Yes, from time to time I will shoot my 8 X 10 Dierdorff or my 4 X 5 Sinar P.

What is your favorite vacation destination?
I’m always working so no time to vacation.

How did you choose photography as an art form/career?
I had fun taking photos with my 35 mm Minolta XG1 and thought it would be fun to do this as a full-time job so I contacted a couple of professional Studios and they took me in as an apprentice.

When did you know you wanted to be a photographer?
1982

What is your favorite aspect of photography?
My favorite aspect is shooting fashion photography.
