For more than 65 years, Gittings has taken immense pride in lending a helping hand to the Dallas community.
This month, we are highlighting two charities that Gittings works with to give back to children in the Dallas area—the Crystal Charity Ball for children’s charities and Rainbow Days.
Through our partnership, Gittings has been privileged to provide photography for these honorable organizations.
Our Crystal Charity Ball Partnership
Since 1952, the Crystal Charity Ball has aided and supported children’s charities in Dallas County. Gittings has proudly been involved with the Crystal Charity since the 1960s when we collaborated to produce the first Crystal Charity Children’s Book.
This year, the Crystal Charity Ball will be held on December 1st. As the original photographer for the charity book, Gittings has been asked to create a portrait of the Crystal Charity Ball President and we have been selected as one of four official photographers for the book.
Contributors to the charity receive one 6×6 photograph in the book, where they can choose to honor their children, grandchildren or one of the children beneficiaries. Each contributor is given a copy of the book as a keepsake upon completion.
Gittings was also assigned two nonprofits to photograph for the 2018 book, Mosaic Family Services and Buckner International. Mosaic Family Services is a nonprofit that aids victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking, while Buckner International is a global ministry maximizing resources and leadership to serve vulnerable children, seniors and families.
We are appreciative of the opportunity to work with the Crystal Charity Ball through the years and we cannot wait to see the 2018 Children’s Book.
Our Rainbow Days Partnership
Rainbow Days is an organization that has established various prevention programs throughout Dallas-area schools. The goal is to create awareness for children to avoid the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
Earlier this year, Rainbow Days held the Pot of Gold Luncheon hosted by Attorneys Serving the Community at the prestigious Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The event on June 22 helped raise $280,000 from over 850 gracious supporters.
As part of the commendable event, Gittings was honored to photograph the luncheon’s keynote speaker, author Liz Murray.
We also photographed the new Rainbow Days CEO, Sherry Ansley. Sherry is the successor to the previous CEO & founder, Cathey Brown.
Partnering with Rainbow Days has been a long-standing tradition for our company. One of our photographers has even been recognized with a Promise Award for his outstanding work at the organization’s events. We were grateful to continue this wonderful relationship at the Pot of Gold luncheon.
