DSOL 2026 Debutantes

For four decades, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball has stood out as one of Dallas’ most elegant and meaningful social traditions in support of the arts. Draped in gorgeous shades of pink, this year’s 40th Annual Presentation Ball, held on February 21st, honored 44 debutantes in an evening that was as visually stunning as it was philanthropic.

The DSOL Presentation Ball is a rite of passage that blends Southern grace with a century-old commitment to arts education. The debutante season is kicked off with an announcement party followed by fashion shows, couture events and rehearsals through the year, ending in the stunning Presentation Ball at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Funds raised from this glamorous celebration support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s education and community outreach programs, creating impact long after the final bow.

Speaking of the bow, DSOL debutantes are known for performing a deep and complex bow, lovingly referred to as “the Texas Dip” (not to be confused with queso), which is the cherry on top of the ball evening. One by one, each young woman bravely takes the concert stage to showcase her practiced and perfected choreography while her father and Honor Guard look on proudly from each side.

Photography has long been a vital part of commemorating the DSOL debutante experience, and Gittings is honored to capture the season’s many events. The culmination of these efforts is the Grand Gallery – a framed display of striking, individual portraits of each debutante – welcoming guests as they enter the Meyerson. These portraits, along with the candid images taken throughout the season, become heirlooms treasured by debutantes and their families for generations. Whether it’s the radiant confidence of a debutante in her white gown or the proud glances exchanged between parents, every image tells a story of celebration, community, and legacy.
